Bacon Bash: Celebrate The “Candy Of Meats” On Saturday

We're looking forward to the weekends- summer in New York City always brings interesting things to do, whether it's film festivals in Bryant Park or the random events on Governor's Island. And this Saturday, we can't wait to check out the inaugral take on what might become an annual event. Saturday, June 23rd at the Arena Event Space (135 West 41st Street) we'll be checking out Bacon Bash 2012.

Produced by iAdventure, the Bacon Bash will feature "restaurants such as Tommy Lasagna, Lucky 777 Chili Company, Little Town NYC and include delicious bacon courtesy of Nueske's, America's original producer of Applewood-smoked meats". For those who like their meats a bit sweet, a few bakeries will also be on hand, offering hipster-approved cupcakes. And we hear that there will even be bacon-infused vodka!

There are three time slots you can choose from- pick from either noon to 2:30, 3:30-6PM, or aim for an evening pork-adventure from 6:30 to 9PM. Tickets run $40 for general admission, which gets you discount on craft beers as well as a vodka shot. Or opt for the $100 VIP "Oink Oink" ticket, which includes tasting samples as well as four beers. Purchase tickets soon- the event is this weekend! See you there, with glorious bacon in hand!
